Our smaller, quieter spaces
As well as our main social room, we have a smaller, quieter sitting room available for confidential meetings to support
At the back of the centre, we also have a gorgeous rooftop terrace garden space, which catches the sun and makes it a perfect place to relax quietly with a book and listen to the sea.
At the North Highland Cancer Information and Support Centre (NHCISC), we provide much more than just support – we offer a compassionate, welcoming space for individuals affected by cancer and their loved ones. Whether you're seeking complimentary therapies, counselling, workshops, or cancer information, we’re dedicated to offering the emotional, practical, and social support you need.
Our team of volunteers and staff are always here to lend a confidential, listening ear, and we strive to create a warm and comfortable environment where you can feel at ease. When you visit us, you’ll receive a friendly welcome and find a peaceful place to take a break and focus on your well-being.
We’re open every Monday for a drop-in day where you can connect and find support. On Thursdays, we offer therapeutic treatments by appointment with our qualified therapists, giving you the chance to relax and rejuvenate in a comforting atmosphere. Plus, every second Monday morning, a skilled beautician offers cosmetic treatments to help you feel your best.
We also host a monthly Men's Support Group and meditation sessions, and we’re expanding our services to offer even more therapies and activities at our Thurso centre.
In Bettyhill, we hold monthly support groups at both the Bettyhill Library and locally at the Bettyhill village hall, providing additional support to those in the area.
And don’t forget, we have a weekly Wick Support Group every Saturday from 3pm to 5pm at the Haven. It’s a great way to connect with others who understand and share your journey.
We’re always here to support you. If you need more information or want to book an appointment, reach out to us today.
